Shirley M. Wing

Shirley Mae Wing, a beacon of faith and selflessness, passed away on August 7, 2025, at the age of 94, in Greenfield, Wisconsin. Born on September 25, 1930, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Shirley's life was one marked by love, service, and devotion to her family and community.

For over six decades, Shirley shared a life of unwavering partnership with her beloved husband, Richard E. Wing. Together, they built a family founded on the principles of love and respect. Shirley's legacy lives on through her devoted children, Daryl (the late Monica) Wing and Mari (Doug) Bittl, and her cherished grandchildren, Christian Combs-Wing, John Wing, Billy Wing, and nine great-grandchildren, parents, family and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Shirley's journey began as a child of faith, baptized on October 12, 1930, and confirmed on April 2, 1944. Her Christian beliefs were the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through the joys and challenges of life. She carried her faith with grace and instilled its values in all aspects of her life.

A woman of many interests, Shirley found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She relished the time spent with a good book, the satisfaction of a well-kept home, and the delight of a successful shopping trip, and any opportunity she had to call out “BINGO”. Above all, Shirley's love for her family was paramount, and her home was a haven of comfort and care for those she held dear.

Shirley's character was the embodiment of faith-filled living. She approached each day with a loving heart and a selfless attitude, touching the lives of those around her in profound ways. Her gentle presence and unwavering support were sources of strength for her family and friends.

As we bid farewell to Shirley Mae Wing, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a soul that has undoubtedly left an indelible mark on the world. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us, just as the light of her faith never ceased to illuminate the path forward.
