It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Siegfried Maurer III.

Born May 26th 1951 in Chicago Illinois and departed this life on June 8th 2025. Siegfried's death was caused by complications following open heart surgery.

"Sieg" or "Siegie" as he was affectionately called resided in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Sieg was preceded in death by his parents Siegfried Maurer Jr., Ruth Kolosky (Maurer) and his wife Judy Maurer.

He also lives on in the memory of his four siblings, Laura Maurer, Al Maurer (Julie), Nancy Piper and Shannon Netzel (Dean) and many other loving nieces, nephews, an aunt, an uncle and countless dear friends. Sieg leaves behind a daughter, Michelle Maurer (Jordan) and seven grandchildren, Madeline, Annemarie, Jacob, Mitchell, Tyler, Samuel and Theodore who will miss him deeply.

Of deepest importance to Sieg was his dear friend and life partner Julie (JJ) Strom, with whom he spent many years exploring life with. The family is beyond grateful to Julie for her love, support and companionship to Sieg through the years.

Sieg spent his early years in Wittenberg Wisconsin where his parents owned a greenhouse business. After high school, Sieg moved to the Milwaukee area and started a tool and die business. Up until his passing he ran a trucking company in Milwaukee which he truly loved. Sieg was a hard worker, working up until his passing. He was highly respected in the trucking industry for his knowledge and abilities.

Sieg was an avid train enthusiast, but his real passion was NASCAR and stock car racing. Sieg was always on the go to auto races and car shows. He loved to travel with his partner Julie, four-wheeling in the desert, hiking and camping. Sieg very much enjoyed his life and lived it to the fullest. We will miss him dearly.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
