Dostal, Steven Sr. Of Franklin. Born December 26, 1921 in Hochstetno, Czechoslovakia. Went home to Heaven on October 8, 2008. Beloved husband of 59 years to Evelyn. Dear father of Paula (Ralph) Horley, Steven (Susan) Dostal Jr. and Frank Dostal. Loving grandpa of Amanda and Patrick; Sara Jean, Courtney and Christopher; Jonathon and Jessica. Preceded in death by his parents and brother Joseph. Also survived by sister Mary Vavro of Slovakia, nieces, nephews and friends in the U.S. and Europe. Visitation Saturday 9-11 am at the Max A. Sass & Sons Mission Hills Chapel. Funeral service Saturday 11 am at the funeral home. Interment St. Martin of Tours Cemetery. Steve proudly served his country in the 71st Squadron of the US Air Force during World War II, flying fighter planes over Europe.
