Sue C. Janikowski

Sue Carol Janikowski, a beacon of joy and selflessness, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025, at the age of 66, in her hometown of Milwaukee, WI. Born on August 15, 1959, to Arnold and Lorraine Jackson. Sue's infectious spirit and unwavering love for her family defined her existence. Sue was the cherished wife of the late Conrad Janikowski, with whom she shared 30 years of loving marriage. Together, they built a family that became Sue's pride and joy. She is survived by her children, Steve (Yomaira Clemente) Mologousis, Johnny (Michelle) Janikowski, and Nicki (Lauren Skaife) Tomasino. Sue's legacy continues through her adoring grandchildren, Alisha Janikowski, Arreall (Dave) Saugstad, Ashley Hayslett, Shaun Hayslett, Katelyn Janikowski, Hope Janikowski, Yandel Ortiz-Clemente, Emilee Janikowski, Jayden Mologousis, Jade Janikowski, Jack Janikowski, and Eli Skaife, as well as her four great-grandchildren.

She was the loving sister to her brothers, the late Robert Jackson, and Thomas Jackson, who was more than just her brother but also her best friend and a dear aunt to her niece, Mary Kerr. Sue also leaves behind her special friend, Bruce Storm, and lifelong best friend, Karen Clark. She will be profoundly missed by her beloved fur babies, who were her constant companions and recipients of her affection. She is further survived by her step-children, Ed (Amanda) Janikowski and Rhonda Janikowski, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Sue was a proud graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran High School, class of '77. Her strong work ethic and passion for service shone brightly through her tenure as a manager at Pizza Hut, McDonald's, KFC, and later, as a caring CNA at Mount Carmel and San Camillo. Sue's dedication to others became even more evident when she chose to become a full-time caregiver for her family, a role she embraced wholeheartedly.

Sue had a spirited love for life and found joy in the simple pleasures. A devoted reader, she proudly owned nearly every book James Patterson ever wrote. She had a particular fondness for gambling, whether it was a game of cribbage with her husband or a trip to the casino. Shopping was another of Sue’s joys—especially when it came to adding to her collection of festive Christmas sweaters and household supplies.

Her unwavering love for her family was evident in every conversation, every act of kindness, and every sacrifice she made. She cherished her weekly phone calls with her children and her best friend Karen, and in recent years, she especially looked forward to dinners out with Bruce. Her home was always open to anyone in need, filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. Her animals, too, were a testament to her capacity for love, always by her side and offering comfort and companionship. 

Sue Janikowski lived a life marked by spirited energy, selfless devotion, and an all-encompassing love. Her memory will be treasured by all who were fortunate enough to know her, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. The world is undoubtedly a better place for having had Sue in it, and while she will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at Max A. Sass - Greenridge Chapel, 4747 S. 60th St., Greenfield, WI, on Friday, August 29, 2025, with visitation from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm service. Following Sue's expressed wishes, the burial will be Private for her children.
