It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Theresa Susan Stocks, a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Born on August 11, 1955, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Theresa’s life journey came to a sorrowful close on February 10, 2026, in Muskego, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
Theresa enjoyed a fulfilling and accomplished career as a registered nurse for an impressive 31 years, dedicating her talents and compassion to the communities served by Trinity Memorial Hospital, St. Luke's South Shore Hospital, St. Luke's Main Campus Hospital, and the Milwaukee VA Hospital, from which she retired in 2016. Her commitment to caring for others exemplified her selflessness and expertise, earning her recognition and respect among colleagues and patients alike.
More than just her career, it was her love for family and her myriad of interests that painted the vibrant tapestry of her life. Theresa was a remarkable role model for her children, Craig Jr. and Andrea, always present and supportive. She cherished family vacations, creating precious memories filled with laughter and joy. As a proud grandmother, she took immense pride in her granddaughter, Natalie, nurturing their bond with love and inspiration.
Theresa had a multitude of passions that brought her happiness. She found joy in travel, tending to her beautiful garden, watching air shows, and dancing the night away with swing dancing. Her love for margaritas and Mexican food was a testament to her spirited and adventurous nature. Additionally, her involvement in gardening clubs and community events further demonstrated her dedication to making Muskego and the greater metro Milwaukee area a better place. She was truly a valuable member of her community, beloved for her warm heart and nurturing spirit.
Theresa is deeply mourned by her brother Chuck, her son Craig Jr., her daughter Andrea, and her cherished granddaughter Natalie. She is also remembered by those who knew her for her loving nature, independence, intelligence, and a selflessness that touched all who had the privilege of calling her family or friend.
Theresa is reunited in spirit with her beloved family members who have preceded her: her father, Charles Reid Sr., her mother, Victoria, and her brother, Jerry. Their love and presence will continue to guide her and remain a cherished part of her legacy.
A visitation is scheduled for February 20, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral and Cremation Greenridge Chapel in Greenfield, followed by a funeral service from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The burial will take place the following day, February 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Milwaukee.
As we honor Theresa's life, we carry forward the beautiful memories she has left behind. Her love, strength, and boundless spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever held in the hearts of her loved ones.
