Thomas M. Lanphier

Thomas M. Lanphier, age 82, passed away May 20, 2026 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

He was born August 31, 1943, in Oak Park, Illinois the son of Thomas Tessier Lanphier and Beulah Helen (Turner) Lanphier Noftz. Tom graduated with honors from Milwaukee School of Engineering earning a BS in Industrial Management. He really enjoyed manufacturing engineering in the areas of automotive and healthcare.

Most of all, Tom will be remembered for his devotion to his family and to the Lord. He loved being a husband, Dad and Grandpa. He cherished every minute of conversation and playing games with family and friends. His love of the Lord shone through his presence and actions. He enjoyed reading and looking at cars, reading about science and studying the Bible.

Tom will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Vicki of 38 years; daughter, Cheryl (Martin) Stearns of Farmington, MN; sons, Thomas H. (Alice) Lanphier of Brown Deer, WI, Peter P. Lanphier of Menomonee Falls, WI, and Michael D. (Crystal) Lanphier of Madison, WI; Granddaughter Sarah Morrow and Grandsons Jared Stearns, Dexter Lanphier and Colton Lanphier; Great Granddaughter Julia Morrow and Great Grandson Jaxon Morrow; sister Sharon (Robert) Noftz McLean of Omaha, NE and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather.

Visitation a will be held at Max A. Sass Funeral Home, 8910 W. Drexel Ave. Franklin, WI. on Wednesday June 10, 4 PM - 6 PM, Service at 6 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Tom's name may go to Life Church - Germantown WI supporting missions around around the world. Tom will be laid to rest in a private service at Highland Cemetery.
