Verona M. Novey

Novey, Verona M. (nee Bromund) Born May 19, 1916 in Ingalls, MI. Graduated from Stephenson High School. She sang with Magdalene and Dale Halbrook as the Texas Trio locally and on radio during WWII. Entered God's Loving Arms on Sunday, September 6, 2009 at the age of 93 in Milwaukee, WI. Cherished wife of Stanley for 63 years. Devoted mom of Sandra Cozad, Stanley Jr.(Kathy) and Valerie(Rick Nieznanski)Novey. Proud grandma of Amy(Keith)Weaver, Julie Cozad, Chris(Allison)Nieznanski, Jon Nieznanski and Caitlin Nieznanski. Sister of Magdalene Halbrook, the late Lillian Koprowski and the late Margaret Leroy. Also loved by other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Lucy(nee Hanley) and Otto Bromund. Visitation at the Max A. Sass & Sons Greenridge Chapel on Thursday, September 10 from 4-7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 6060 W. Loomis Rd. Greendale, WI 53129, on Friday at 11 AM(please meet directly at church). Burial will take place on Saturday at 3 PM at Stephenson Township Cemetery in Stephenson, MI.
