Virginia Frances Miller (nee Lenko) left this world peacefully on December 28th. Dale, the love of her life and husband of 67 years, was waiting for her. She was also preceded in death by Anton and Frances Lenko, who welcomed Virginia into this world on July 16th of 1932.
Virginia loved her family with an unprecedented passion. Her children, Kathie (Rob) Wenzel, Jennifer, Andrew (Kileen Murphy) and Deb Faustmann, her special person whom Virginia considered a daughter, will forever feel her love and encouragement.
Virginia’s grandchildren, Cole (Morgan) Wenzel and Taylor Wenzel, were also the beneficiaries of that fierce and unconditional love. She greatly adored her great-grandchildren, Rylan and Emmett Wenzel, and often expressed that they were the force behind her will to live longer.
She is further survived by her best friend and sister, Cecilie (Ray) Schwartz as well as her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She leaves behind her adored dachshund Chloe who provided her with much comfort following Dale’s passing.
Virginia was an artist, incredible homemaker and could put a crease in any item of clothing that would rival a professional. She prided herself in making a home beautiful and encouraged holiday traditions that will live with her family forever. The photo included is a watercolor painting by artist Virginia circa 1948 depicting the street outside of Virginia’s and Cecilie’s childhood home.
The family would like to thank Virginia’s neighbors for their never ending support, her special caregiver and friend Robin Radler, as well as Aurora Zilber Hospice for their compassionate care during her final days.
In lieu of flowers contributions to Lucky Mutts Rescue in Virginia’s name are appreciated.
