In Loving Memory of Visitacion Gaddi Yamat July 28, 1937 – October 31, 2026

Visitacion Gaddi Yamat passed away on October 31, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of faith, love, family, and cherished memories.

Born on July 28, 1937, in Del Carmen, Floridablanca, Pampanga, Philippines, Visitacion was one of nine children born to Gregorio Gamboa Gaddi and Esperanza Gutierrez Yuzon Gaddi. As the last surviving child of her parents, she was preceded in death by her eight siblings. Throughout her life, she carried with her cherished family memories, traditions, and values that she lovingly passed down through generations. Throughout her life, Visitacion demonstrated a strong work ethic, determination, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Her professional journey began with her work at the post office in her early years. She later pursued several business ventures in the Philippines, including owning and operating an overseas employment recruitment agency that helped individuals pursue job opportunities abroad. She also worked as a subcontractor on provincial infrastructure projects. Her accomplishments reflected her resourcefulness, independence, and dedication to providing for her family.

Visitation married Macario Bonifacio Yamat, and together they built a family that would become the center of her life.

A devout Catholic, Visitacion's faith was an important part of her life and the values she instilled in her family.  She especially cherished Christmas, her favorite holiday, when her love of faith, family, and tradition came together. Known among family and friends for her cooking, she found great joy in preparing meals for those she loved, especially during holidays and family celebrations. Her cooking was more than a way of bringing food to the table; it was a way of bringing people together, creating cherished memories, and sharing her love with those around her. The meals she prepared and the traditions she established will remain treasured memories for generations to come.

Above all, Visitacion's greatest joy and proudest legacy was the beautiful family she raised and the love she poured into each generation. Her devotion to family extended well beyond raising her own children. She lovingly cared for all of her grandchildren and even some of her great-grandchildren, playing an important role in their upbringing. Through countless everyday moments, she helped shape the lives of multiple generations, creating bonds and memories that will be cherished forever.

She leaves behind her nine children: Abraham (Irina) Yamat, Bernard (Cherrie) Yamat, Chesbert (Leila) Yamat, Josephine (Reynaldo) Rivera, Macario Yamat Jr., William (Edith) Yamat, Robert (Virginia) Yamat, Jonathan (Sonia) Yamat, and Frederick (Kerri Joy) Yamat; as well as her three stepchildren: Jojo Yamat, Sharon (Ruel) DeChavez, and Seirha (Ryan) Szeto.

Her love extends to her 32 beloved grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Through each of them, her love, wisdom, faith, and unwavering devotion to family will continue to live on for generations to come.Though Visitacion will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in the memories she created, the traditions she passed down, and the love she shared so generously throughout her life. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and in the generations of family who will forever carry a part of her with them.

May she rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love and grace of God.
