William B. Follansbee passed away peacefully on October 8th, 2026. He was 91. Bill was the beloved husband of Ellen Follansbee, (nee Jennerjohn). They met at Milprint where Bill had the habit of hitting Ellen with his mail bag. Even though Ellen was not originally taken with the guy, he eventually won her over. A devoted husband and loving father, William will be deeply missed. He leaves behind his three children; Melanie Pendy, Bryon Follansbee, and Merri Jackson, 6 grandchildren, Benjamin (Heather) Follansbee, Carly Jo (Steve) Gapp, Mitchell (Caroline) Jackson, Rachel Jackson, Shannon Pendy and Nathaniel Pendy and 4 great-grandchildren Bryce Follansbee, Kinsley Follansbee, Theo Gapp and Noah Gapp. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Gerald, Donald, Roland and Betty Jane and is survived by his sister Vivian (Tootie) Rise, as well as many special nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever cherish his memory. His life was a testament to love, family, and the many years shared with those closest to him.
William was a proud member of the Armed Forces having served in the Army and as a civilian in the Air Force Reserves. As a young father he held a number of jobs to support his family including stints at Lakeside Bridge and Steel, 440 th AF reserve, Insurance sales and Amron where he inspected ammunition. He was especially proud of his time there because he felt he helped to save lives. Upon his retirement he enjoyed selling various products at fairs and flea markets in the Milwaukee area and Shipshawanna, Indiana.
There will be a private celebration of William’s life for close family and friends.
