William "Mack" Hewett

Passed away surrounded by family on February 6, 2022 at age 88. Lovingly survived by his children Larry (Sheila) Hewett and Debra (Russ) Osman. Beloved grandpa of Steven (Rachel) Hewett, Theresa (Shawn) Hewett, Katrina Stanley and Shera Gore. Great grandpa of Landon, Brayden, Chloe, Austin, Peyton and Courtnee. Dear brother of Paul (Ann) Hewett, the late Thomas Hewett and the late Lonnie Hewett. He will be loved, remembered and missed by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Mack was a dedicated employee at Cornell Paper. In 1966 he started the Mack Supply and Service business. Visitation will take place at the Max Sass Funeral Home- Southshore Chapel from 4 PM until time of service at 6 PM. Mack will be laid to rest next to his wife at the Dulah Baptist Church Cemetery in North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Alzheimer's Association.
